This beautiful image shows how precious the right word at the right time can be. Like something valuable and lovely, a timely word can give someone hope, direction, or comfort exactly when it is needed.

 

We often underestimate the power of our words. A simple message of encouragement can change someone’s entire day. In the same way, a careless remark can cause deep hurt. Wisdom is found not only in what we say, but also in when and how we say it.

 

Speaking at the right time requires that we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit and attentive to people. Sometimes this means speaking; other times it means staying quiet and simply listening. A wise word is born from a heart filled with love and patience.

 

This verse encourages us to intentionally speak life. In a world full of criticism and negative news, our voices can be a source of light. God can use us to speak the right word that someone needs so that they don’t lose heart.

 

When we surrender our tongues to God, even our ordinary conversations can become carriers of grace and truth.

 

Prayer: Lord, place your words in my mouth. Help me to be sensitive to the people around me today, so that I may speak only what builds up, comforts, and brings life. Amen.
